Animated Dreams will host animation seminar focusing on Baltic States animation industries. In the day’s programme:

  • Animation industry introduction in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, including studio presentations. The animation landscape in the Baltics has become very interesting as new studios has been established next to the well-known studios representing the traditions of animation art over the decades. They all get a possibility to introduce themselves and get to know each other in more depth, in the aim of strengthening their future co-production.
  • BLON (Baltic Sea and Nordic Region Animation and Video Games Festival) will introduce the festival aims and agenda.
  • Presentation of a new website and a platform – ANIMACLOUDLY. It’s Europe’s first online one stop shop for animation and visual graphics pros alike, whose mission is to connect the animation industry with the general film community.

IndieDev Conference is the first ever indie developers conference held in Tallinn, promoting independent game development and providing the existing game studios with tips and tricks for survival. The conference, open to all visitors, is organised in partnership with BNFF and The Digital Corner. The conference is concentrating on learning from others – hearing about failures, key differences what make a small game studio successful and what kind of simple tools a small studio could use in order to survive and grow. Ensemble for New Music Tallinn (ENMT) and Animated Dreams are proud to present you a new form of musical and visual art in the project Silent Movie Night. The spectators will have a chance to enjoy visual media, accompanied by a live-concert. ENMT commissioned the composers to create new pieces on already existing media aswell as new video material to already existing music. In the process, composer and artist from France, Cyprus, Germany, Israel and Estonia were involved. The highlight of the program is a premier of a new animation “Birdflu” by Estonian director Priit Tender with its subsequent music by composer Märt-Matis Lill.

Animated Dreams has a tradition of holding a Comic Fair during the festival, and this year is no different! The fair is organized by one of Animated Dreams’ good collaborators and talented Estonian illustrator, animator and comic book artist Joonas Sildre. Make sure to stop by!
